Job Overview
Our client is looking for a dependable and skilled Warehouse Supervisor to join their team.
This is a key role in the day-to-day running of the branch. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the warehouse operates safely, efficiently and to a high standard – from managing deliveries and picking orders to operating warehouse equipment and keeping wastage to a minimum.
They are looking for someone who knows how to move at pace, thinks ahead, and takes ownership of the space they work in.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, check, and sign for deliveries from suppliers.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders for collection and delivery.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts.
- Load and unload vehicles with care, following manual handling procedures.
- Maintain clear, organised stock locations to maximise efficiency.
- Ensure effective rotation of stock to prevent damage and wastage.
- Take a proactive role in keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and safe.
- Support wider branch operations and work closely with the sales counter team.
What They’re Looking For:
- Previous warehouse experience is essential ideally from the plumbing and heating sector.
- Confident operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- A methodical and organised approach – you take pride in high standards.
- Comfortable working in a physical, fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong communicator.
- Someone who works well under pressure and keeps calm when it’s busy.
