Our client is a highly successful and long-established Tax Boutique based in Colchester. With over 20 years of expertise, they have built a reputation for delivering sophisticated VAT consultancy to a diverse portfolio, ranging from OMBs and charities to global corporations.

VAT Manager / Senior Manager responsibilities

• Deliver high-level technical VAT advice on complex transactions and projects for a varied client base.


• Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing commercially focused solutions and managing long-term relationships.


• Support the firm's growth by identifying new opportunities and contributing to the technical development of the wider team.


• Lead on a wide range of consultancy assignments, ensuring technical accuracy and a high standard of client service.

As the successful candidate you will

• Have at least 8 years of dedicated VAT experience gained within a professional practice environment or HMRC.


• Be CTA, AIIT, or HMRC VAT Legal and Technical qualified (or possess equivalent high-level technical experience).


• Demonstrate a strong track record in VAT advisory and the ability to handle complex technical queries.


• Be a collaborative team player who enjoys working in a close-knit, specialist consultancy environment.

In exchange you will receive

• Competitive salary of £57,000 to £80,000 depending on experience.
