Trustee – POW Nottingham

POW Nottingham is a non-profit, voluntary organisation supporting the rights, safety and wellbeing of sex workers and those at risk of exploitation. We champion self determination, recognising each individual’s right to remain in or leave sex work, and we work to reduce stigma, challenge violence, and ensure access to essential services.

Our work spans advocacy, education, multi agency collaboration and direct support. Through drop ins, specialist clinics, outreach, and casework, we provide holistic, person centred support to a community whose needs are often complex and urgent. Our beneficiaries consistently tell us that POW is a place of trust, respect and safety often a lifeline during the most challenging moments of their lives.

Following the closure of our building and a temporary pause in services last year, POW is now undertaking a structural reset. With plans to reopen our building in 2026 and relaunch services once funding is secured, this is a crucial period of renewal and strategic development.
