Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a telehandler to move, lift, and transport materials on construction sites or warehouses. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Duties

• Operate the telehandler safely and efficiently to lift, move, and place materials as required on site.


• Conduct daily inspections of the telehandler to ensure it is in good working condition.


• Assist with loading and unloading materials from lorries or storage areas.


• Collaborate with site managers and other team members to ensure smooth operations.


• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.


• Perform basic mechanical maintenance on the telehandler as needed.


• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.

Experience

• Previous experience operating a telehandler is essential.


• A valid commercial driving licence is preferred, enabling operation of larger vehicles as necessary.


• Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.


• Familiarity with excavators or similar heavy machinery will be considered a plus.


• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while demonstrating strong communication skills.
