About Discovery
At Discovery, we’re proud to support people across Somerset and Cornwall to live the lives they choose. When you join us, you’re not just starting a new job — you’re becoming part of a friendly, dedicated team that puts people at the heart of everything we do. You’ll have the satisfaction of knowing you’re making a real difference every single day, and in return we’ll make sure your career can be the best it can be through excellent training, development opportunities and colleague benefits.
There’s no such thing as a “typical” Support Worker here. Our teams are made up of people from all backgrounds — from school leavers who want to start a meaningful career, to those looking for a change, to experienced support workers who want to work somewhere that genuinely values the people it supports.
Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 — our eighth consecutive year of recognition.
About the role
At Green House, we’re passionate about supporting people to live the life they choose. As a Support Worker, you’ll play an important part in helping each person build confidence, develop everyday living skills, and enjoy real choice and control over their day.
No two days will ever be the same. You might be out in the community enjoying local events, taking relaxing walks, joining in with hydrotherapy sessions, or even heading off on holidays. You’ll also help the people we support stay connected with the friends and family who matter most to them.
Your role will include encouraging therapeutic exercises, engaging in fun and stimulating activities, and working closely with a range of health professionals to promote wellbeing. Most importantly, you’ll be making a positive difference every single day—supporting people to lead happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives
Shifts: Hours will vary between 7am - 10pm, include sleep Ins.
About you
You don’t need previous experience to join us — what matters most is your values, your compassion and your genuine desire to make a difference. If you’re someone who is patient, positive, calm under pressure and motivated by helping others to live life to the fullest, you’ll fit right in. The best Support Workers are great listeners, naturally empathetic, and able to build strong, trusting relationships with the people they support.
You’ll be someone who enjoys being active, willing to try new things and get 'stuck in'. You’ll need to be comfortable working as part of a close, supportive team, following guidance, and adapting to different needs throughout the day. Good IT skills are important too, as you’ll be keeping accurate records and updating support plans — full training is provided, so you’ll feel confident and supported every step of the way.
Most importantly, you’ll bring warmth, reliability and a willingness to learn. If you’re looking for a role with purpose, where every shift leaves you knowing you’ve genuinely made someone’s day better, we’d love to welcome you to our team.
