About Dimensions
At Dimensions, every day is a chance to make a difference. You’ll support autistic people and adults with learning disabilities to live independently, from planning meals and exploring hobbies to achieving personal milestones. Some days bring laughter, others challenges, but every moment matters. With Dimensions Academy, Aspire coaching, and a wellbeing-focused culture, you’ll grow alongside the people you support in a Great Place to Work.
Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2025 — our seventh consecutive year of recognition.
About the role
You’ll be supporting a gentleman with learning disabilities and autism in his own home. He requires 1:1 support at home and 2:1 support when out in the community.
This gentleman has a unique personality and interests:
He loves listening to music and is a huge Star Wars fan.
He enjoys writing number patterns and can spend hours on this activity.
His mum plays a very important role in his life, and maintaining regular contact with her is essential.
Keeping to his routine is critical for his wellbeing.
What do I need to know?
Staff must be mindful of the environment, vigilant, and quick-thinking.
He enjoys the sound of glass breaking and has been known to damage items within reach, so maintaining a safe environment is key.
What will I be doing?
Supporting him in his home and in the community.
Helping him engage in his favourite activities and maintain his routine.
Ensuring safety and structure while promoting independence.
What are we looking for?
Someone calm, proactive, and able to think ahead.
A person who can work as part of a team and follow clear support plans.
Previous experience with autism or complex behaviours is desirable, but full training will be provided.
