About the role
Willows is a homely, welcoming place where five fantastic people — four gentlemen and one lady aged between their 40s and 70s — live life in their own unique and joyful ways. As a Support Worker here, you’ll become part of their daily world, helping to make each day feel safe, meaningful and full of moments that matter.
Everyone at Willows has their own personality, routines and interests. Some communicate with few words or short phrases, while others use gestures or will gently guide you to what they need — and you’ll soon get to know these individual styles like second nature. You’ll provide personal care, use hoists when needed, and support two wheelchair. - All training provided.
Life at Willows is about enjoying simple pleasures together: coffees out, seaside trips, countryside walks, shopping days, or dinner at the local pub. There are plenty of shared passions too — from Dr Who and to James Bond films and Elvis tribute acts! Your encouragement will help people stay active, explore new places and enjoy being part of their community.
With a range of shifts, including 7am - 2;30pm, 2:30pm - 10pm, 8:30am - 3:30pm and long days - 7am - 10pm. You'll also be required to pick up one sleep In per week and work alternate weekends.

About you
You don’t need previous experience to become a great Support Worker — what matters most is your attitude. We’re looking for people who are patient, positive, kind and genuinely motivated to help others live well. If you’re someone who listens, encourages independence, enjoys being part of an active team and isn’t afraid of getting stuck in, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll be someone who values dignity, choice and inclusion, and who brings calmness, resilience and creativity to your work — whether that’s helping with personal care, supporting communication, joining someone for a favourite activity, or enabling someone to feel safe and confident throughout their day.
Training, Development and Career Opportunities
Working for Discovery is rewarding, meaningful and offers genuine career progression. Within your first 12 weeks, we’ll fund and support you to complete the Care Certificate, which is essential for anyone working in health and social care.
You’ll have access to a wide range of online and face-to-face training, including specialist courses tailored to the needs of the people you support. Through our City & Guilds accredited qualification centre, you can work towards diplomas and recognised qualifications — and in some cases earn a financial bonus on completion.
Our Learning Connect online platform gives you access to extensive training pathways so you can continue developing your skills throughout your career with us.
