£12.35 per hour + £50 per sleep-in shift

About the role

We’re looking for a warm, energetic and values-driven Support Worker to join our friendly RG41 team, supporting three outgoing gentlemen in their 50s–60s who have learning disabilities and varying mobility needs.

This is a happy, active home with a great sense of humour, plenty of community activities, and a busy weekly routine. Support is provided through a blend of 1:1 time and group living, so no two days will ever feel the same.

Who you will be supporting

All three gentlemen enjoy full, engaging and community-focused lives. They thrive with Support Workers who are confident, fun, patient, and happy to get involved in activities.

Support needs include:

  • Personal care: Yes – for all three
  • Hoist use: Yes – for one individual
  • Wheelchair use: One full-time user (others use in community)
  • Meal preparation: Yes – required
  • Medication administration: Yes
  • Support in eating: Not required

What you will be doing

You’ll support the gentlemen with:

  • Personal care and daily routines
  • Hoist use for one individual
  • Supporting wheelchair mobility
  • Meal preparation and household tasks
  • Community activities and outings
  • Budgeting, shopping, planning meals and housework
  • Medical appointments (GP/hospital)
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and choice
  • Bringing fun, warmth and energy to each day

This is an active, engaging role that suits someone who enjoys being busy, taking part in activities, and supporting people to live life to the fullest.

Shift patterns

This 22.5-hour role includes daytime shifts and sleep-ins:

  • 7:00am – 10:00pm
  • 7:00am – 2:30pm
  • 2:30pm – 10:00pm
  • Sleep-ins: 10:00pm – 7:00am (paid to sleep)

Rotas are shared in advance to support work-life balance.
