Support Worker

'I am really looking forward to moving into my own home and I would love to find the right team to support me to do this. This is a new start for me and it is important that i find the right people that can support me in the way i choose.

I am happy to be supported by men or women, but a good sense of humour is really important. I like staff to be approachable, but staff will also need to appreciate that I may need time and space to feel comfortable when getting to know you.

I love kicking a football around, listening to music and going on walks so it is essential to me that my team also enjoy doing these things with me and help me to continue to engage in activities I love!'

As a Support Worker, you will:

• Empower individuals to live independently and achieve their personal goals.
• Provide practical assistance with daily activities, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
• Offer emotional support and encourage participation in community activities.
• Work collaboratively with a team to deliver person centred support plans.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure the safety and well-being of those you support.

• A caring and empathetic attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
