The Role of the Specifications Sales Role
Architect & Designer Engagement – Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, and specifiers, ensuring the company’s products are incorporated at the design stage of projects.
Sector Project Development – Target and support projects within education, healthcare, hospitality (including restaurants), and residential housebuilding sectors.
Specification Sales Delivery – Win specifications by understanding client requirements, presenting tailored solutions, and positioning the company as a trusted partner in project delivery.
Regional Coverage – Focus on the Southern Home Counties with regular access into London, ensuring strong visibility and presence across the region’s key design and project hubs.
Collaboration & Growth – Work as part of a strong UK-wide team, sharing market insights, reporting on project pipelines, and delivering sales targets to drive long-term growth in specification markets.

The Ideal Person for the Specification Sales Manager
Background in construction-related sales, which could include external sales, distribution, or showroom management, with a desire to move into external specification sales.
Either looking to break into specification sales or already experienced in the field and seeking a new challenge with a global, market-leading flooring manufacturer.
Familiarity with managing or co-managing projects, ideally with some exposure to architects, designers, or contractors.
Ambitious, self-motivated, and confident, with the ability to build strong professional relationships and secure specifications.
Open to learning and development, with the drive to grow into specification sales or further expand existing expertise.
