Social Value and Sustainability Lead

Location: Oxford (must be based locally)

Salary: Up to £50,000

We are working with a values-driven organisation that is deeply committed to sustainability and making a meaningful impact in the communities it serves. They are looking for a Social Value and Sustainability Lead to shape and drive their sustainability strategy, embedding social value into everything they do. This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating real change and ensuring businesses operate with purpose and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a sustainability and social value strategy across the business.


• Act as an internal and external advocate for sustainability and social impact.


• Build relationships with schools, colleges, and charities to create employment pathways for under-represented groups.


• Support bids and tenders by advising on sustainability and social value commitments.


• Lead ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives, ensuring best practices and reporting standards.


• Deliver engaging sustainability campaigns and internal awareness programmes.


• Measure and report on the organisation’s social impact, driving continuous improvement.

Who We’re Looking For:

Essential:

• Proven experience in developing and delivering sustainability or social value strategies.


• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.


• Experience in measuring and reporting sustainability and social impact.


• Excellent project management and communication skills.


• A proactive and strategic thinker with a passion for driving positive change.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of social value investment models and measurement frameworks.


• Experience in environmental management and ESG reporting.


• Project or programme management qualifications.
