Our client is a bespoke handmade lampshade maker supplying to the interior design, hotel and lighting industries. They have a team of highly skilled craftspeople making beautiful fabric lampshades within a busy and demanding high-end market. They are industry leaders and committed to providing customers with a bespoke, expert and personal experience.
Due to continued success and growth, they are now recruiting for a full-time Skilled Hand Sewer to join a friendly team based wholly on-site in Portslade.
The Role – Bespoke Lampshade Maker / Skilled Hand Sewer
You would be working within the soft (sewing) team pinning, tailoring and hand sewing lampshades for bespoke client orders.
Lampshade specific training will be given.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Background in hand sewing.
- Experience working with fabrics, textiles or other materials.
- Tailoring/embroidery/pattern cutting or similar.
- Used to working in a production environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Outcome focussed and team player.
The Details:
- Full-time, permanent role based on-site in Portslade
- 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday; 9am – 5pm)
