The Role – Site Manager
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team in the Belfast area.
This is a key site-based role responsible for delivering new build and healthcare projects, ensuring works are completed to programme, quality, and safety standards. The role offers strong continuity of work, with further projects available upon completion.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Site Management
- Deliver projects on time and to a high standard of quality
- Report directly to senior management including Contracts Manager and Project Director
- Manage and motivate site teams to ensure performance targets are met
- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, and site activities effectively
- Follow and interpret construction drawings and technical information accurately
- Survey sites to identify risks and ensure design viability
- Liaise with engineers and maintain strong site-level coordination
Planning & Coordination
- Organise and coordinate labour and materials to meet programme deadlines
- Support contract negotiations alongside direct and subcontract staff
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation
- Ensure works are delivered in line with programme and client expectations
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe systems of work are followed
- Ensure compliance with relevant health & safety regulations and site standards
- Maintain professional and accurate reporting on all site activities
Reporting & Communication
- Provide consistent, accurate, and professional reporting to senior management
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ensure all project information is documented and recorded appropriately
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally within new build projects
- Experience delivering healthcare projects (essential)
- Strong understanding of construction processes and site operations
- Ability to manage projects from start to finish
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and organisational ability
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Valid SMSTS or SSSTS certification (essential)
- Relevant Health & Safety training and compliance knowledge
