Job description:
Freelance Site Manager Required – 8 Week Contract (Timber Frame Housing Project)
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the next stage of a 27-unit timber frame residential development. The timber frames have just been erected, and we require a strong, hands-on manager to take the project through the next 8 weeks of construction.
Salary : £250-280 per day

27 Timber Frame Houses
Timber frames recently installed
8-week contract (full availability required)
Immediate start
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday
7:30am – 5:00pm
Responsible for opening and closing the site daily
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all site operations from timber frame stage onwards
Coordinate subcontractors and trades
Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to specification
Maintain high health & safety standards
Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks
Monitor quality control and compliance
Liaise with project managers, clients, and suppliers
Keep accurate site records and reports
Requirements:
Proven experience managing residential housing developments (timber frame experience preferred)
Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
CSCS Black Card (Manager level)
First Aid at Work certification
Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety regulations
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to commit to the full 8-week programme
