We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a refurbishment project within a live leisure facility. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a fast-paced scheme with a strong focus on quality, safety, and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-day management of site operations on a refurbishment scheme
Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard
Managing health & safety on site, including RAMS and site inductions
Liaising with the client, leisure facility management, and design team
Managing site logistics within a live environment with minimal disruption
Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to the Project Manager
Conducting quality inspections and managing snagging and handover
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment projects
Experience working within live or occupied environments (leisure, retail, education, healthcare, etc.)
Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and site management procedures
SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certification (essential)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple trades and tight programmes
