About the role:
As a Senior Wellbeing Support Worker, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the REST Hub service (Recover, Eat, Support, Talk), providing holistic support to individuals experiencing mental health distress. Acting as the lead practitioner on shift, you will oversee operations, support staff and volunteers, and ensure a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for all service users. Working hours are 37 per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. This is a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2027 (subject to service contract renewal).

About you:
As a Senior Wellbeing Support Worker, you will have at least 1–2 years’ experience working with adults in a mental health environment and be confident working in high-pressure, emotionally demanding situations. You will have a strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and recovery-focused support, with experience delivering both 1:1 and group support. You will bring excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead within a team and manage competing priorities effectively. You will be confident supporting staff and volunteers, handling sensitive situations professionally, and maintaining clear boundaries. A qualification in mental health (e.g. NVQ Level 3, DipSW, RMN, Counselling or equivalent) is desirable, along with experience managing volunteers or small teams.
You must be willing to undertake an enhanced Adult’s Barred DBS check.
