Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting new challenge? We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable groundworks subcontractor in Cambridge. Our client has a track record of delivering high-quality projects across the region and is looking to strengthen their team with a highly skilled individual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the financial aspects of groundworks projects from inception to completion.


• Preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets.


• Managing subcontractor agreements and overseeing variations.


• Conducting site visits and ensuring financial reporting is aligned with project progress.


• Managing cash flow and ensuring profitability of projects.


• Providing guidance to junior surveyors and contributing to their development.


• Collaborating closely with the project management team and clients to resolve any financial issues.


• Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, including procurement and tendering processes.

Key Requirements:

• A proven background in Quantity Surveying within the construction or groundworks sector.


• At least 5+ years of experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role.


• Strong understanding of groundworks and civil engineering.


• Experience with tendering, contract negotiation, and project cost management.


• Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work autonomously.


• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent experience).


• RICS or CIOB membership is desirable but not essential.
