About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a globally recognised, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy known for delivering innovative and technically excellent solutions across infrastructure, buildings, and complex development projects.

With a strong and growing presence in the UK, this organisation collaborates with developers, architects, and contractors across the full project lifecycle—from concept through to construction and delivery.

Their geotechnical team plays a critical role in major infrastructure and building projects, delivering expertise in ground engineering, soil-structure interaction, and foundation design across diverse and challenging environments.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join their London team.

The Role

You will contribute to the design and delivery of geotechnical solutions on a wide range of projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Undertaking geotechnical analysis and design (foundations, slopes, retaining structures)


• Supporting and managing site investigations and ground assessments


• Producing technical reports, calculations, and design documentation


• Working on earthworks, deep excavations, and ground improvement solutions


• Collaborating with structural, civil, and infrastructure teams


• Liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies

About You

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field


• Experience in geotechnical design within a consultancy environment


• Working toward or achieved Chartered status (ICE/IStructE or equivalent)


• Strong understanding of soil mechanics and ground behaviour


• Familiarity with geotechnical software (e.g. PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar)


• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
