Senior Estimator – Tier One Main Contractor

Location: Central London

Salary: Up to £115,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

Sector: New Build Commercial Projects

We are working with a highly respected and award-winning Main Contractor, renowned for delivering high-profile new build commercial projects across Central London. Due to a strong pipeline of work and strategic growth, they are now seeking a Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team.

The Role

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the successful tendering of new build commercial projects, typically ranging from £30m to £150m. You’ll work closely with the Pre-Construction Director and wider commercial team to produce accurate and competitive tenders, ensuring the business continues to secure landmark developments in the capital.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the preparation of cost plans and tender submissions for new build commercial schemes.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and supply chain to ensure accurate pricing and value engineering.

Lead bid strategy meetings and contribute to the overall win strategy.

Conduct risk and value management and cost control.

Mentor and guide junior estimators within the team.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within a Tier One or large Main Contractor environment.

Strong track record on new build commercial projects (office, mixed-use, etc.).

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Strong understanding of pre-construction processes, procurement routes, and cost planning.

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar (preferred).
