Senior Care Support Worker

Our client is seeking a number of Care Support Workers to join the team

Pay: £13.85 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week

Job Type: Full-time

They have positions for both car driving and non-driving Support Workers.

Our client is looking for candidates within the borough of Enfield, to provide domiciliary care to people in their own homes, ensuring they can live independently and comfortably. This full-time role involves providing essential care and support to their service users both adults and children, including personal care, medication, companionship, light housekeeping, assistance with daily living activities as well as social visits in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care: Assist service users with personal hygiene, dressing, and other day-to-day care needs.
  • Food Preparation: Assist with meal preparation and ensure that service users have access to healthy and nutritious meals.
  • Companionship: Offer emotional support and companionship to service users, fostering positive relationships.
  • Light Housekeeping: Support with light household tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
  • Client Care Assessments and Report Writing: It is expected that the Senior Support Worker will support the care office with client assessments.

Key Requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a domiciliary care setting is essential.
  • Ideally, Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Previous experience working with individuals in their own homes.
  • Preference will be given to those who also have experience working with service users suffering from dementia and learning disabilities.
  • You must have a DBS on the Update Service to apply.

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent care with compassion and respect.

Additional Requirements:

  • A valid UK driver’s licence and access to a car (essential).
  • Solid work reference.
  • Must be prepared to work Monday to Friday and one day on the weekend, according to your rota.
