Audit Senior Manager responsibilities

• Managing a substantial portfolio of audit clients, primarily owner-managed businesses and SMEs with turnovers typically ranging from £5m to £30m.


• Leading the full audit lifecycle from planning and risk assessment through to completion, ensuring all files meet the highest quality and regulatory standards.


• Mentoring and developing a dedicated audit team, overseeing workflow, and providing feedback to managers, seniors, and trainees.


• Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying opportunities for advisory work and supporting Partners with new business tenders and firm growth.

As the successful candidate you will

• Be ACA or ACCA Qualified with significant post-qualification audit experience within a UK-based accountancy practice.


• Have a proven track record of managing an audit portfolio and leading professional teams through complex assignments.


• Demonstrate the commercial acumen required to advise owners and directors of SMEs on wider business and financial matters.


• Be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple client engagements while maintaining excellent standards of service.
