An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Robotics Engineer to join a dynamic and growing manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with experience in robotic welding and automated assembly processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, integrating, programming, and maintaining robotic systems to enhance production efficiency, quality, and safety.
This role involves working across both office and manufacturing settings, requiring attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robotic systems for welding, assembly, and material handling applications.
- Integrate robotic systems with existing production equipment and processes.
- Identify and utilise the correct parts, jigs, and fixtures for welding operations.
- Fabricate complex metal assemblies using engineering drawings, jigs, and manual welding tools.
- Operate robotic welding cells including part setup, tacking, loading/unloading, and inspection.
- Adjust welding parameters (voltage, amperage, wire feed, travel speed) as required.
- Perform programming, testing, and debugging of welding routines to optimise output and build quality.
Requirements:
Essential:
- HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering with minimum 2 years’ relevant experience; or
Level 3 Engineering qualification with 5+ years’ relevant experience.
- Trained in the use of robotic systems, preferably for welding applications.
- Practical experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with jigs, fixtures, and manual fabrication tools.
