Residential Real Estate Analyst

We’re currently seeking a Residential Real Estate Analyst to join our MCR office in London. You will be responsible for the acquisition of additional land or property to drive expansion plans, asset management of the existing estate and general property matters. Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analysis and underwriting for single-family and multifamily residential properties, including cash flow modelling, ROI analysis, and sensitivity testing.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to evaluate neighbourhood trends, rental rates, occupancy levels, and comparable sales.
  • Support property acquisition efforts by assisting with due diligence, risk assessments, and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and investors.
  • Monitor performance metrics of existing assets, identify areas for operational improvement, and assist in budget forecasting.
  • Work with asset managers, brokers, and property managers to ensure timely data flow and reporting accuracy.
  • Track real estate transactions and maintain databases of residential property information.
  • Assist in preparing appraisals, valuations, and internal reports for portfolio review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in real estate analysis, investment banking, or financial services (entry-level roles may require internships or coursework in real estate finance).
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; proficiency in Argus, CoStar, or other real estate software is a plus.
  • Excellent research and analytical capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of real estate fundamentals, valuation techniques, and financial reporting is preferred, although not essential.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Communicating and negotiating effectively with colleagues, clients and financial stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a high workload environment
