We are currently seeking a Residential Operations Manager to join our team and play a key role in managing our growing portfolio and supporting operational excellence.

Role Summary

The Residential Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day performance and support of the Property Block and Lettings Management teams. Working closely with the Residential Operations Director, you will ensure that our residential buildings are efficiently managed and that residents receive the highest standards of service. You will be a hands-on manager with experience in multi-site residential property operations and a strong understanding of the legislative and customer service elements of the industry.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management & Support

  • Oversee and support the day-to-day activities of Property Managers and Lettings Coordinators across the residential portfolio.
  • Ensure operational consistency, high performance, and delivery of customer service excellence across all properties.
  • Assist in managing staff performance, training needs, and team development.

Operational Delivery

  • Support the setup and smooth running of new BTR/PRS sites in line with MCR Homes’ standards.
  • Ensure properties meet all Health & Safety and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate timely resolution of resident complaints and service requests.
  • Work closely with contractors and third parties to ensure efficient property maintenance.

Process & Strategy

  • Assist in implementing division-wide strategies and operational improvements under the direction of the Residential Operations Director.
  • Contribute to system and process updates, including the onboarding of new technologies.
  • Monitor service delivery metrics and report on performance indicators.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with marketing to support property launches and leasing efforts.
  • Liaise with internal departments (legal, finance, development) to ensure operational alignment.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of on-site residential property management experience (multi-site experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of residential property operations, lettings, and associated legislation.
  • Experience managing or supervising small to medium-sized teams (5+ people).
  • Proven track record in delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Confident communicator with effective interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in property management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in BTR/PRS environments is desirable.
