Are you ready to lead and shape a brand-new Children’s Home from the ground up?
Our client is seeking a passionate, experienced Residential Care Home Manager to take the lead in launching and managing a 3-bed Children’s Home for young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
Unique Opportunity
This role begins on a part-time basis (1–3 days/week) for the first 9–12 months during the setup phase, with full-time pay from day one. Full-time hours will commence once the home opens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and register the home in line with Ofsted and local authority standards.
- Lead all operational aspects, ensuring high-quality, therapeutic, child-centred care.
- Recruit, supervise, and support the care team.
- Develop and oversee tailored care plans for each child.
- Maintain high safeguarding standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with families, professionals, and agencies.
- Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
What They’re Looking For:
- Proven experience managing or deputising in a children’s residential setting.
- NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care/Leadership.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and children’s residential care regulations.
- A compassionate, resilient, and organised leader.
Desirable:
- Experience working with children with emotional or behavioural difficulties.
- Familiarity with Ofsted inspections and local authority processes.
