This main contractor is a multi-disciplinary construction company that is very well established and deliver a broad range of projects across the UK. Projects typically range in value from £7 - £30 million with a repeat client base and are delivered on a design & build basis.

Due to several contract awards in the Essex region the need to increase their commercial function in the area.

The Quantity Surveyor role:

• Managing commercial activities on a range of construction projects.


• Procurement and placing subcontractor orders.


• Pricing variations, preparation of valuations, negotiating and ongoing final accounting for contractor and client accounts.


• Cash flows and cost reporting.


• Project based working closely with the construction team.

About you:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor or residential developer.


• Qualified to a HNC or above level.


• Strong commercial, negotiation and reporting skills.
