Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor (Education & Residential Sectors)

Location: Kent (Projects across the region)

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

Turnover: £40m

We are working with a well-established Main Contractor with a strong reputation in the Education and Residential sectors. With a turnover of £40m, this business delivers high-quality projects across Kent and the surrounding areas, consistently winning repeat work from satisfied clients.

The Role

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control and contract administration on a range of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents

  
  


• 
  

  Managing subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account

  
  


• 
  

  Monitoring project costs and advising on cost-saving opportunities

  
  


• 
  

  Preparing valuations, variations, and interim payments

  
  


• 
  

  Liaising with site teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure commercial success

  
  


• 
  

  Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and industry regulations

  
  

Requirements:

• 
  

  Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Residential sector (Education project experience advantageous)

  
  


• 
  

  Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication and organisational skills

  
  


• 
  

  Based in or within easy reach of Kent
