Our client, a leading £350m turnover Main Contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering landmark schemes, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of a new division that will focus on large-scale residential projects across the UK.

About the Role:

As Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial lead on major developments, including a flagship 31-storey Student Accommodation project, alongside a diverse pipeline of residential schemes. Reporting to a Commercial Manager, you’ll be responsible for the full range of pre- and post-contract duties, supporting project delivery from procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing project budgets, forecasts and cash flow

Preparing tender documentation and evaluating subcontractor packages

Leading valuations and variations

Managing subcontractor relationships and payments

Supporting project reporting and financial control

Driving value engineering and cost-saving initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment

Strong knowledge of residential construction (student accommodation experience is a plus)

Ability to manage complex, high-value packages independently

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

A proactive mindset and desire to be part of an ambitious growth strategy

Up to £60,000 basic salary
