Quality Technician / Engineer

We are working with a local engineering firm based in Lisburn to recruit for their new Quality Technician / Engineer.

The company provide high-definition laser profile cutting and folding services to the engineering & manufacturing sectors across NI and due to growth are looking to appoint their new permanent Quality Technician / Engineer.

Based at their site and working 7-4 Monday to Thursday and 1pm Friday finishes

Reporting into management you will;

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all metal products meet specified standards and regulatory requirements


• Inspection & Testing: Examine raw materials, in-process items, and finished products for defects or deviations


• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of inspections, tests, and non-conformances


• Compliance Monitoring: Verify adherence to internal quality procedures and external industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM)


• Continuous Improvement Support: Collaborate with production teams to enhance manufacturing processes and reduce defects

What we are looking for…

• Knowledge of metal properties and manufacturing processes (casting, forging, machining, welding)


• Proficiency with inspection tools and measurement instruments


• Understanding of quality standards (ISO, ASTM, ANSI, etc.)


• Attention to detail and analytical skills


• Ability to document and communicate findings clearly
