Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving quality excellence within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
The Role:As Quality Engineer, you will take ownership of quality performance across suppliers and internal operations, ensuring robust processes, effective problem resolution, and continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and facilitate 8D problem-solving activities for supplier and internal complaints — from initial containment through root cause analysis to verification of corrective actions.
Support goods-inwards containment activities to ensure non-conforming products are effectively controlled.
Identify, drive, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process capability.
Support supplier audits and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance and best practice.
You are a proactive, analytical quality professional with a strong background in manufacturing and a passion for driving standards.
Essential Requirements:
Degree in Quality, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years’ experience within a Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance role in a manufacturing environment.
Full working knowledge of AS9100 Rev D.
Experience producing FAIRs to AS9102 Rev C.
Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, statistical process control, metrology, inspection methods/equipment, and 8D methodology.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
ASQ certification.
