The Role

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth processing of supplier invoices and payments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and looking to develop their career within finance.



Key Responsibilities




  • Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently

  • Matching, batching, and coding invoices

  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies

  • Preparing payment runs in line with company procedures

  • Handling supplier queries in a professional and timely manner

  • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate purchase ledger records

  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required



Requirements




  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
