Job overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to managed a £10+ million Design & Build industrial refurbishment scheme. The project has moved through tender to construction with anticipated start date of August 2025.
Responsibilities
Reporting to visiting Contracts Manager you will be:
- Interfacing with the Client and their representatives.
- Interrogating design detail and support the Planner to build up programmes of works.
- Ensure Construction Phase Plans are prepared correctly and project resources reflect the scope of works and programme including temporary works.
- Work alongside a Project Surveyor and Managing Surveyor to align the contracts, procurement and subcontractor selections.
- Chair pre-start meetings.
- Close liaison with the Design Manager, Architects, Engineers and Designers.
- Monitor the project programme to ensure key milestones are delivered and produce mid-term and short-term programmes.
- Chair monthly project reviews.
- Health, Safety and Environmental planning and implementation.
Attributes and Skills required or desired
- Proficiency in project management software such Asta Power Projects or MS Project.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance.
- Be prepared to work across London and surrounding areas.
- Solid experience in new build and refurbishment schemes valued upto £15 million in value.
- Previous experience NEC forms of contract would be an advantage but is non-essential.
- Exceptional organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is desirable.
- HNC or higher in construction related field
- In date SMSTS, CSCS Card and First Aid. Temporary Works Coordinator is an advantage.
