Mechanical & Electrical Project Manager
Location: Enfield, North London
Salary: Up to £85,000 + Package
A leading UK main contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Project Manager to support the delivery of education sector projects in Enfield and the surrounding North London area.
The company is a well-established, privately owned Tier 1 contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality public sector projects across education, healthcare, commercial and public buildings. With a long-standing presence in the UK construction market and a multi-billion pound turnover, they are known for their financial stability, strong supply chain relationships and consistent pipeline of work within the education sector.
This role will focus on the delivery of new build and refurbishment school projects, working closely with site teams, consultants and subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery of all mechanical and electrical building services packages.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all M&E packages across education projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover
Review and manage sub-contractor design information, ensuring compliance with project specifications and programme requirements
Work closely with site teams, design consultants and supply chain partners to coordinate building services installation
Monitor programme, quality, cost and risk associated with building services delivery
Lead technical reviews, progress meetings and commissioning activities
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, building standards and health & safety requirements
Oversee testing, commissioning and O&M documentation to ensure a smooth project handover
Requirements
Proven experience working as an M&E Project Manager, Building Services Manager or Technical Services Manager with a main contractor or specialist M&E contractor
Strong experience delivering education sector projects (schools)
Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems
Experience managing subcontractor-led design and installation packages
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across site, design and client teams
Strong knowledge of commissioning, QA processes and project delivery
