Production / Business Unit Manager

A leading manufacturer in the plastics and building products sector is seeking an experienced Production / Business Unit Manager to lead its Plumbing & Drainage operations.

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple production units, ensuring performance targets for safety, quality, delivery, and cost are consistently achieved. You will lead and develop teams, drive operational efficiency, and play a central role in continuous improvement across the division.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production operations across the division


• Deliver production targets for safety, quality, output, and cost


• Plan and optimise production schedules with Planning and Engineering


• Drive continuous improvement and process efficiency initiatives


• Lead, develop, and engage production teams


• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and quality standards


• Manage operational budgets, costs, and production KPIs


• Report on performance and collaborate with key support functions

Requirements

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production management role


• Strong leadership and people management skills


• Track record of delivering operational and process improvements


• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities


• Knowledge of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement
