Package: Basic salary £27,000 – £29,000 (depending on experience) plus bonus & flexible benefits package including up to 27 days holiday (Plus additional annual leave purchasing scheme)

Production Administrator role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Administrator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of our Westbury manufacturing site. This multi-skilled position demands flexibility, strong organisational skills, and attention to detail to support various departments and maintain high standards of administration.
 
Production Administrator key responsibilities

  • To efficiently book in works orders, supporting production scheduling and inventory management processes.
  • To provide administrative support for packing, maintenance, and health and safety activities within the warehouse and production areas.
  • To assist in stock control administration, ensuring accurate recording of inventory levels and supporting stock management initiatives.
  • To assist in health and safety data entry, filing, and documentation, ensuring compliance
  • To facilitate internal and external communications via telephone and email
  • To assist in the reporting and documentation of non-conformance issues
  • To manage administrative tasks related to certifications and production initiatives, ensuring compliance and supporting internal audits.
  • To record and maintain data related to cost controls and basic key performance indicators (KPIs
  • To undertake diverse administrative tasks to maintain office efficiency, including data entry, filing, and maintaining office supplies inventory.
  • To provide essential cover for Production, Planning, Transport, and Procurement roles during planned and unplanned absences, ensuring continuity of operations.

 
What you will bring
Essential:

  • Previous experience within a production environment, demonstrating an understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a positive attitude, able to effectively address queries and concerns.
  • Proficient in IT skills, particularly in using Microsoft Office applications for data entry, documentation, and communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with certification and compliance requirements in a manufacturing setting, such as ISO standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Experience in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for administrative tasks related to production and inventory management.
  • Previous exposure to stock control procedures and warehouse management systems, contributing to efficient inventory control.
