With a UK-wide presence and a membership in a leading international network, the firm provides a sophisticated platform for tax professionals to manage complex, global portfolios. The London-based UK Private Client Team consists of 5 Partners and nearly 30 staff, fostering a collegiate and friendly environment where every individual is recognised by name rather than just a job title.
As a Private Client Tax Manager you will:
Manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all UK tax compliance and ad hoc advisory matters.
Review complex UK self-assessment, trust, and estate tax returns, ensuring the highest technical standards and strict adherence to deadlines.
Provide technical input on intricate tax issues, including residency, domicile, the remittance basis, and capital taxes.
Lead HMRC correspondence and enquiries, drafting robust responses and supporting Partners on high-stakes investigations.
Identify and convert tax planning opportunities, collaborating with VAT, Corporate Tax, and Financial Planning teams to provide holistic solutions.
Oversee the commercial performance of your portfolio, including budgeting, recovery monitoring, and invoicing.
As a Private Client Tax Manager you will:
Delegate work effectively to the junior team, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all deliverables.
Act as a mentor and coach, playing a pivotal role in the training and career development of junior staff members.
Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with clients, proactively managing their expectations and requirements.
Contribute to the firm’s continuous improvement initiatives, refining tax compliance processes and internal best practice.
What You’ll Receive
35 hour working week.
3 days per week working from home (Hybrid policy).
25 days annual leave.
10:00 – 16:00 core hours.
Annual Profit-Sharing Plan payment (paid in December).
Discretionary annual performance bonus.
