Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP and IFRS for a varied and prestigious portfolio of clients.
Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, providing essential financial insights that help clients understand their business operations.
Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare robust working papers to support all year-end deliverables and tax filings.
Undertake high-level bookkeeping, complex bank reconciliations, and provide day-to-day finance support for diverse client entities.
Utilise industry-leading accounting technology, including Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Caseware, and IRIS to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Support the delivery of VAT, employer taxes, and basic corporation tax compliance, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Communicate directly with clients on routine matters, responding to queries in a professional and timely manner.
Manage assigned work effectively, taking ownership of tasks and escalating issues to Managers and Senior Managers where appropriate.
Collaborate closely with colleagues across the firm to support the delivery of a responsive, high-quality service.
Requirements
Actively studying towards an ACA or ACCA qualification.
Approximately 1–2 years of experience within an accountancy practice or a similar professional environment.
A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Comfortable working with modern accounting technology and digital tools, with an aptitude for learning new systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to handle direct client interaction.
Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
