Operations Manager

An established manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Operations Manager to oversee and enhance its production operations. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role focuses on optimising workflows, driving efficiency, and ensuring high-quality production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily production operations to meet quality and efficiency targets.


• Assist in production scheduling, ensuring on-time delivery to customers.


• Lead and motivate a skilled production team to achieve performance goals.


• Monitor and implement KPIs to drive continuous improvements.


• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams to optimise operations.


• Ensure compliance with transport regulations and safety policies.


• Identify opportunities for cost reductions and process improvements.


• Manage production budgets, resources, and planning in alignment with business goals.


• Work with HR on performance management and employee relations.

Essential Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a production management role within manufacturing or engineering.


• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.


• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality control systems.


• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.


• Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Degree or relevant qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.


• Experience in recycling or heavy industries is a plus
