A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nursery Chef to joina reputable childcare nursery, offering excellent benefits.

As a Nursery Chef, you will be working with the current chef and kitchen assistant to prepare meals for 200 children daily.

You will be responsible for:

Manage kitchen staff tasks, oversee food preparation, and ensure adherence to policies.
Handle the food budget, order stock, and maintain accurate allergy and dietary records.
Ensure cleanliness, proper stock rotation, and adherence to labelling and safety procedures.
Collaborate with management to prepare balanced, healthy meals, considering dietary and cultural needs.
Comply with food safety regulations, health and safety guidelines, and safeguarding policies.

What we are looking for:

Previously worked as a Chef or in a similar role.
Experience working in a Nursery or School kitchen.
Strong knowledge of nutrition and balanced meals for early years children.
Exceptional food hygiene and cleanliness practices.
