Join a respected and growing charity working at the frontline of homelessness prevention and support. We’re recruiting a Rough Sleeper Navigator to help people experiencing homelessness move from the streets into safe, stable accommodation and long-term recovery.
This job is ideal for someone with experience supporting rough sleepers, vulnerable adults, or people with complex needs including mental health, substance misuse, or housing instability.

About the Job:
- Deliver proactive street outreach support to individuals sleeping rough across Southend-on-Sea
- Provide intensive case management, supporting clients from crisis through to independence
- Build trust-based relationships using a trauma-informed, person-centred approach
- Help clients access housing, health care, addiction recovery, and welfare services
- Liaise with housing providers, GPs, local councils, mental health teams, and other key partners
- Work flexible hours including early mornings (6am-2pm) and late shifts (4pm-midnight) on a rota
- Maintain accurate records on internal systems for monitoring and reporting
About you:
- Experience working in homelessness services, street outreach, or complex needs support
- Strong knowledge of housing law, benefits systems, and healthcare navigation
- Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
- Commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and safeguarding
- Full UK driving licence required (essential)
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Housing, or IAG (desirable)
- Ability to work flexibly including weekends and bank holidays
