Freelance Mechanical Project Manager – Chichester – £400–£450 per day – 4 Month Contract

Skilled Careers are working with a reputable M&E contractor who are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team on a freelance basis for a 4-month contract.

This is a great opportunity to take a leading role on a large-scale industrial project based in Chichester, overseeing the successful delivery of mechanical services on site.

Role Overview:

The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for managing the mechanical package from site delivery through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the mechanical installation works across the project


• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams


• Monitor programme, progress, and project milestones


• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and site standards


• Liaise with the main contractor, consultants, and project stakeholders


• Manage quality control and ensure works meet project specifications


• Support commissioning, testing, and final handover

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Mechanical Project Manager within the M&E or building services sector


• Experience delivering mechanical packages on large-scale industrial or complex construction projects


• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills


• Solid understanding of mechanical building services installations and project delivery


• SMSTS, Black or Gold CSCS, and relevant mechanical qualifications (desirable)
