Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Northern Ireland

Hours: Full Time Monday to Friday (2 days per week from home)

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 DOE

The Job in a Nutshell:

Essentially, your job will be to design, develop, and improve mechanical systems and assemblies from concept through to manufacture, working closely with production, quality, and project teams to deliver robust, compliant, and manufacturable designs.

You Will Be:

• 
  

  Producing detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications using 3D CAD (e.g. SolidWorks)

  
  


• 
  

  Developing new products and improving existing designs to meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements

  
  


• 
  

  Working closely with manufacturing to ensure designs are cost-effective and fit for production

  
  


• 
  

  Supporting prototype builds, testing, and design validation activities

  Proven experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer role

  Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software

  
  


• 
  

  Experience producing manufacturing drawings and BOMs
