Manufacturing Engineer

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of existing production control systems, processes and procedures to maximise safety, quality and delivery and to minimise cost of manufacturing whilst ensuring data compliance, control and the flow of information between various departments.
Responsibilities
- Complete any minor or major engineering changes from shop floor, recording issues with proposed solutions and report all changes to Design Engineering.
- Propose and implement process changes to the Operations structure and flow.
- Lead NPI Projects.
- Identify, purchase and co-ordinate the installation of tooling, equipment, machinery and capital expenditure projects.
- Co-ordinate the manufacturing and engineering side of the business, paying close attention to cost and quality.
- Recommend and implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and/or efficiency.
Essential Criteria
- Degree in Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering or a similar role.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Stigma Processes.
Desirable
- Experience working with ERP / MRP style system.
