Male Support Worker

Male Support Worker

  • Full time or part time hours considered.
  • New Southgate, N11 1JQ
  • Experience Essential, Progression to Lead Support Worker Possible

Are you an experienced support worker looking to take the next step in your career? Dimensions UK is seeking a committed and skilled individual to join our day team in a supported living home in New Southgate, London.

You’ll be supporting four adults aged 60–70 with learning disabilities and complex health needs. This includes personal care, mobility support (including hoisting and wheelchair use), and assistance with meals, three individuals follow a pureed diet, and full training will be provided to meet dietary guidelines.

This is a busy, rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll help people engage in weekly routines such as listening to music, attending church, going shopping, and enjoying meals out. While outings are currently limited, we’re looking for someone who’s enthusiastic about encouraging more community involvement and helping people live life to the fullest.

We’re looking for someone with a background in care, healthcare, supported living or residential settings. You’ll need strong communication skills and the ability to understand both verbal and non-verbal cues, including gestures and objects of reference. One individual receives 1:1 support due to behaviours of distress, so experience in managing complex needs is essential.

You’ll also need to be confident using IT systems. Our team uses online platforms to manage tasks and record daily notes, so being comfortable with digital tools is a must.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow within the care sector. With the right attitude and experience, there’s potential to progress into a Lead Support Worker role in the future.
