Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the efficient running, fault finding, and repair of plant equipment. The role supports minimal downtime and maximum productivity across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance.


• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.


• Maintain accurate maintenance records.


• Keep tools and workshops organised.


• Report equipment issues to the Engineering Manager.


• Support apprentices and new staff.


• Participate in team briefings and cross-training.


• Adhere to all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and environmental procedures.


• Liaise with contractors as needed.

Essential Criteria

• Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or similar).


• Experience in a similar maintenance role in manufacturing or industry.


• Skilled in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.


• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Desirable

• Health & Safety training (e.g. Manual Handling, Working at Height).


• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation.


• CMMS experience.
