Job Description 

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?

 

An hourly rate between £12-15ph depending on existing experience

£15ph once candidate goes permanent and received full training

Temp to Perm role for the right candidate

Monday to Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm with a requirement to be totally flexible to complete evening/night work if required

Guaranteed 30 hours a week paid work

Up to 44 hours per week

Work van provided, fuel card, fully insured and no maintenance costs

Travel time to jobs paid at standard hourly rate

Annual pay increases in line with inflation

10% pay increases awarded in the last 2 years

THE BUSINESS



Westray Recruitment Group is delighted to bring to you a client who are looking for a mobile Commercial Cleaner to join their team based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.  

 

You will be working for a growing business who specialises in providing commercial cleaning solutions for the North East of England. The business operates within a 90-mile radius of Newcastle Upon Tyne serving its customers across the region.

 

The business is a high performing business with excellent customer reviews for the quality of work and overall service.

 

You will be working within a small team most of the time independently however there may be occasions where you are required to work as a team on a specific job.

 

There are permanent roles available for the right candidates and a pay increase has been agreed once a candidate goes permanent.

 

THE ROLE



The role itself is a commercial cleaning role which is mobile and requires you to drive to various different locations across the North East of England within a 90-mile radius of Newcastle Upon Tyne.

 

You will work Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 6:00pm with the flexibility to work evenings and through the night if required for specific jobs. Night shift work will be pre -arranged.

 

There is scope for progression with this role if you are suitable and the business are keen to develop their staff.

 

You will be required to write up reports as part of your role and take on some training and as such require a good command of English.

 

The types of areas you will be required to clean are:

Property

Retail

Construction & building sites

Extraction, duct and ventilation

Biohazards, post police attendance etc.

Kitchen Hygiene

Warehouses

Offices

 

Please be aware – you will require a full UK driver’s license with less than 3 points. This is a full-time role we cannot recruit students on this basis. You will be required to take the work vehicle home with you.





THE PERSON



1-2 years’ experience in commercial cleaning

Educated to GCSE level in English and Maths with pass mark is essential

The ability to carry out physical work for long hours

Working at height qualifications desired but not essential  

CSCS Green Card desired but not essential

PASMA/IPAF desired but not essential

Training can be provided on the job for the right candidate

The ability to work with accuracy and at a fast pace

Flexible to work at various times to suit client demand

Working independently alone using own initiative

Work efficiently in a wide variety of situations professionally and sensitively

The ability to delivery excellent customer service

Strong communication skills and the ability to work in unsanitary environments
