Hotel Sales and Revenue Manager

The Sales and Revenue Manager is responsible for maximizing room and ancillary revenue for the apartment hotel by strategically managing pricing, inventory, and distribution channels, while driving sales growth through corporate, leisure, and long-stay markets. This role combines proactive sales development with revenue management expertise to ensure optimal business mix, increased occupancy, and long-term profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Management:

  • Develop and execute revenue management strategies to optimize occupancy, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and RevPAR.
  • Monitor demand patterns, booking pace, and market trends to adjust pricing and availability across all channels.
  • Oversee distribution channels (OTA, GDS, brand website, corporate accounts) to ensure rate parity and maximize visibility.
  • Forecast room revenue and prepare accurate budget projections for management.
  • Implement yield management practices for long-stay, short-stay, and group bookings.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in corporate, relocation, leisure, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events) segments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, relocation companies, and OTAs.
  • Develop sales strategies for long-term stays, group bookings, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Conduct site inspections, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts with potential clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing to drive promotions and digital campaigns aimed at increasing direct bookings.

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless guest experiences that support repeat business and referrals.
  • Train and motivate the sales and reservations team to achieve performance goals.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and revenue strategies to senior management.
  • Partner with finance to analyse profitability and identify opportunities to increase revenue.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business, Sales, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in sales and/or revenue management within hotels, serviced apartments, or hospitality.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue management systems (RMS), property management systems (PMS), and channel managers.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and growing market share.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage relationships with key partners, clients, and stakeholders.
