HGV Driver

HGV Driver/ Class 1 – Are you an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver looking for your next opportunity? If so, we are currently recruiting for HGV Drivers (Class 1) to join our Newtownabbey, Belfast team!

About the role:

All HGV Driver roles operate Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for delivering and collecting palletised freight across Northern Ireland using curtain-sided vehicles, ensuring high standards of service and compliance at all times.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects and ensuring safe and legal operation.
• Plan and manage delivery routes efficiently, reporting significant deviations and overseeing safe loading and unloading.
• Promote responsible use of fuel and equipment.
• Represent the company professionally in all interactions with customers, the public, and colleagues.
• Comply with all legal requirements and company policies, ensuring accurate proof of delivery and clear communication of any issues or incidents.

About you:

As an HGV Driver, you will hold a full UK driving licence with Category C+E (Class 1) entitlement. Previous Class 1 experience is desirable but not essential, as a full induction programme is provided for the right candidate. You will have excellent communication skills and a courteous, professional manner. Maintaining your vehicle in a safe, clean, and tidy condition is essential. ADR and/or a forklift licence would be advantageous but is not required.
