Salary: £43,000 - £53,000

The Organisation
Our client is the governing body for higher education sport in the United Kingdom, they are responsible for organising 54 inter-university sports in the United Kingdom.
This is an exciting time to join and make a huge difference to the organisation that sits on the shoulders of those who established competitive inter-university sport competitions over a century ago, and which is responsible for the most dynamic element of the sport sector.
The Role
The Head of People is a dynamic leadership role, shaping the organisation’s people strategy and driving a values-led culture. You will inspire and empower people, ensuring a motivated workforce that delivers excellence. You will be acting as a champion for learning and development by creating an environment where people grow, innovate and truly feel valued.
Beyond shaping culture, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our client operates safely and is compliant. From health and safety to safeguarding the experience of staff and participants, you will lead best practices and work closely with the governance and compliance team to meet all statutory and industry regulations.
Collaboration is key in this role. Working with the senior leadership team and management team, you will align people strategies with organisational goals. Additionally, you will oversee key safeguarding matters, monitor disclosures and case management, and escalate concerns to the CEO and the Board as required.
