?? Purpose of the Role
To support pupils during the lunchtime period by creating a clean, safe, and pleasant dining environment. You'll help younger children with meals and ensure the dining area is kept tidy before, during, and after lunch.
? Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children while they eat, encouraging good table manners
- Help pupils open food packages and trays, and assist with trays/cutlery as needed
- Wipe down tables and clear spillages quickly and hygienically
- Ensure a smooth flow of pupils through the dining area
- Empty bins, sweep floors, and ensure the space is clean and ready for use
- Help set up and pack away the dining space (tables, chairs, etc.)
- Report any concerns or incidents to the senior midday team or school staff
